BISS Aust Ch Catraz Beautiful Spirit
Shown in Australia and New Zealand, Onyx has achieved many In Group and In Show awards at All Breeds and Specialty shows culminating in winning Best In Specialty Show at the Canterbury Labrador Retriever Specialty August 2010 at 19 months old the weekend before flying back to Australia.
Critique from judge Mrs Robyn Brown (NSW):
This stunning black girl caught my eye as she entered the ring. She didnt disappoint, lovely head and expression, dark eye. Good reach of neck to a level topline which she held on the move. Moved with reach and drive, then stood naturally four - square. Well presented and handled. Pleased to be able to award her the CC and later BIS.
On arrival back in Australia she continued to show well, picking up 2x Best Intermediate In Groups at her first 2 shows and then another 2x Intermediate in Groups shortly afterwards.
Nyx was shown very sparingly in NZ due to the fact that I was studying full time but is well over half way to her NZ title and will hopefully be back to finish it off.
Onyx is currently on an extended holiday in Australia with her breeder, Pam.

Onyx came to me from Pam Gregg of Catraz Kennels in Victoria. She is a very special girl, being out of Pam's top winning girl RBISS Ch Catraz Charmed One and by her UK Import boy Brigburn Finney. I fell in love with Finney long before I ever met him, and really wanted one of his pups; so when Pam emailed me and said this would be one of Finn's last litters and offered me the pick bitch, I jumped at the opportunity.
I met Onyx at 10.5 weeks and was absolutely blown away by her. She was (and still is!) absolutely stunning, and on top of that she had the snuggliest nature. A smart wee cookie, she was very responsive to training. She was also a natural tracker, finding bits of food we'd scattered over a large area, methodically working the ground and staying focussed on the job the whole time. I was very impressed with her calm, grounded nature.
